With Workbox's CUT (Content Update Tool) anyone can add, edit and delete content.
By using a simple web-based form, you can handle press releases, jobs, products,
personnel, events and even assign responsibility for specific sections.
Homepage
Keep your homepage fresh with news or press release headlines, clients or other information.
Headlines or images can be used from several sections of your site.
Press releases
Never worry about having out of date press releases. Your team can simply copy and paste out
of a Microsoft Word document (or any other text doc), and it instantly appears on your website.
You can also give your PR agency permission to update the press release section of your site, so
when a release hits the wires, it hits your website. Headlines can even appear on your homepage!
Customers
Toot your horn about impressive customers and the success they have with your services or
products. Add new customer stories, update existing customer stories and even upload logos.
You can also select logos to appear on your homepage.
Events
Let existing and potential customers know where you'll be next. Quickly update event information,
and upload event logos, too. CUT automatically sorts by date, and will keep previous event listings
live as long as you want.
Products
Product information, images and white sheets can be easily added, edited or deleted. Create
categories and subcategories, and choose specific products to appear on your homepage, all
through a simple, web-based form.
Personnel
Add and edit personnel, select the order of appearance on the page, and even upload photos.
Permission to edit certain sections of your site can be assigned to specific individuals, departments
(like HR) or third parties.
Email Newsletter
Send email newsletters to contacts you export from Microsoft Outlook, ACT!
or other software. Viewers can subscribe, unsubscribe, and change
subscriptions through your website. You can also import contact information
you collect from the website.
Hit Tracking
See which pages get the most hits. Sort by month, day and hour. A required
tool for tracking the effectiveness of your email marketing campaigns.
Permission
Assign permission for specific sections to individuals, departments or third parties. The site
administrator controls passwords and assigns specific sections to each password.
Approval
Get managers to approve or disapprove new or edited information. Individuals will get email and a
link to the new information if their approval is required. They can either approve or suggest changes
right through the web interface.
Preview
Preview changes before they go live. See whether the text is the right length or how a photo or logo
would look before the changes are made public.
Live/Date Viewable
Select specific dates to make information available to the public. Add news or product information
to your site when you're ready - then select a date and it automatically appears on your public
website on that date. This can also be done manually without selecting a date - simply check or un-check the
"live" button and it appears or disappears from your public site.
Additional/Custom Sections
CUT has also been used for articles, news, web resource lists and bibliographies. Any templated
